Diecimila volte Libia
La Nato continua a bombardare con ritmo preciso. Ma non è una guerra lampo.
Il governo ha altri problemi, ma colpisce che non si senta più parlare un gran che della Guerra di Libia. Non solo del fatto che non c'è una data per la sua conclusione, come chiesto dalla Lega e concesso dal Pdl. E nemmeno che non è finita in due-tre settimane come diceva il ministro Frattini.
Non fa più notizia e basta. Da noi e altrove.
Eppure la Nato continua a colpire con metodo e ritmo meccanico. In queste ore, se i miei conti sono esatti, l'Alleanza compirà la sua missione numero diecimila (10.000) sulla Libia da fine marzo. Quelle che hanno scaricato bombe sui fan di Gheddafi sono circa quattromila.
Ogni giorno arriva un comunicato come questo pubblicato qui sotto. Puntuale sintesi di un conflitto che resta nei radar dei generali. Ma che è uscito da quelli dell'opinione pubblica. Almeno sino al prossimo errore, o massacro o altro.

Mission
NATO took control of all military operations for Libya under United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1970 & 1973 on 31 March 2011. The aim of Operation UNIFIED PROTECTOR is to protect civilians and civilian-populated areas under attack or threat of attack.
The mission consists of three elements: an arms embargo, a no-fly-zone and actions to protect civilians from attack or the threat of attack.
Over the past 24 hours, NATO has conducted the following activities associated with Operation UNIFIED PROTECTOR:
Air Operations
Since the beginning of the NATO operation (31 March 2011, 08.00GMT) a total of 9917 sorties, including 3752 strike sorties*, have been conducted.

Strike sorties conducted 05 JUNE: 58
*Strike sorties are intended to identify and engage appropriate targets, but do not necessarily deploy munitions each time.
Key Hits
05 JUNE: In Tripoli: 1 Command & Control Facility. In the vicinity of Tripoli: 2 Command & Control Facilities, 1 Surface-To-Air Missile Storage Facility, 1 Ground Forces Compound, 1 Air Defence Forces Compound, 4 Surface-To-Air Missile Launchers, 1 Radar. In the vicinity of Brega: 3 Military Vehicles. In the vicinity of Misurata: 1 Armoured Fighting Vehicle.
Arms Embargo Activities
A total of 18 ships under NATO command are actively patrolling the Central Mediterranean.
23 Vessels were hailed on 05 JUNE to determine destination and cargo. 2 boardings (no denials) were conducted.
A total of 1191 vessels have been hailed. 74 boardings and 8 denials have been conducted since the beginning of arms embargo operations
